It's Design Team day!!

Hi everyone! Boy I have to tell you I don't think I had to do anything harder than picking a Design Team. Wow! For all those who applied thank you very much. There are some really talented people out there and to have to just pick 7? I really didn't think I'd be able to.

But I did and now I'd like to announce our first Doodlelicious DT.

Welcome ladies! We are going to have an exciting next couple of months together!

Sneak peeks of new stamps start Monday June 22nd.

Koi Valentine

So I have to be honest, the way the Koi turned out totally surprised me!! I was happy that the colours blended well and then thought I would try to use the blender pen to make scales. And what do you know they look cool! Hahaha I'm lov'n the blender pen.

All you do is colour and shade your image.
Allow it to dry.
Take your blender pen and dab it on the image.
The blender markers sort of suck the colour out as it dries.

Whimsie Cuts Teapot

Some really exciting things are happening here at Whimsie Doodles! We are now going to have Whimsie Cuts cutting files. If you love to make paper piecings then you'll love our new product.
The first cutting file I have to show you is a Teapot! This also comes as a jpeg for those of you like me have to do things the "old fashioned" way...cutting with scissors.
Here arevthe teapot's pieces. The cutting file also comes with two jpeg images. One is as seen here the other is reversed as shown in the card sample.

The card sample shows the Teapot in reverse. Just to show you can have the spout facing anyway you like.
These files work perfectly with the Cricut and Sure Cuts a lot program.

The sky's the limit

What's Whimsie up to today? Well the sky's the limit for her! This card was created by Tracey Feeger and she used Mojo Monday's skecth to create it. Don't you just love Mojo Monday? I know I do. And Tracey's card is sweet, I love the bright colours and pattern paper. And that sky!! I love it! Doesn't this card just cheer you up? I now it made my day.

It's a card Tote and gift card holder kind of day!

Ooooh boy I have the cutest tote to share with you! Tracey Feeger made this tote and she's sharing a link to the tutorial on her blog. Isn't it sweet?? It's the perfect size for carring cards. Tracey used a digital kit, printed the pattern papers and Whimsie the digital stamp!
The next card I get to share with you is a gift card holder made by Dalis Acevedo. She used a coffee sleeve to decorate this card (a Project Tuesday idea). Doesn't it look great! I wish I drank coffee just so I could have a sleeve to try this! LOL.
Check out what Whimsie the turtle is holding! Dalis altered the stamp and put a heart in Whimsie's hands. I love seeing all this creativity! Thanks for the sweet card Dalis.

Tuesday line up

Well gooooood morning!!! I have two fabulous cards to share with you today. Both ladies are fans of Whimsie Doodles and I get to share their gorgeous work with you.
This first card is from the Fabulously talented Melissa Craig visit her blog here. Isn't Whimsie cute?? Melissa added such sweet touches to Whimsie's cheeks and spots with a white gel pen. Do you have a really great White gel pen, they are hard to find. I have a UNI-BALL "Signo" pigment ink and it's the bomb!! Best White gel pen I've found yet.
This second card was created by the very talented Jennie Black. She used a retired set from SU with Whimsie. How awesome is that to be able to blow the dust off some old stamps and bring them to life again! The hotdog suites Whimsie perfectly!
Have a great day!

The Sky's the limit

Yeah it's Friday!!
I didn't use the sentiment that comes with this stamp, because I wanted to make it a birthday card. Poor Whimsie is getting carried away over this birthday card!
Here's a darling customer card. I love how the oval makes the image the focal point. And the sky
of muted colours gives this card a soft gentle look. Beautiful card Jennie!

This bud and Hot stuff!

Wow it's Thursday already and I'm getting a lot of very talented applications for my Doodlelicious Design Team. The decision is going to be tough let me tell ya!

Today I have another card to share from Jennie. I love how she coloured Whimsie the turtle. The background is fabulous with the clouds in the sky and the sandy ground.

Check out this card by Nichole Anderson. Now is this guy hot or what?? Look how she coloured Whimsie, the colours are gorgeous. Love it!!!

Our first customer card!

Good morning everyone! Today's card is from a new customer Jennie. She was thrilled with the freebie stamp "This Bud" and couldn't wait to show me her first card. Now I can't wait to share it you.

Jennie is so talented! Look at her great colour combo and Whimsie sitting in a field of grass. The details Jennie added make Whimsie adorable with her freckles and hair bow.

If you've made cards using Whimsie Doodles stamps please send a pic to me at whimsiedoodles@eastlink.ca.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Hot Stuff and Make a Wish

Don't you just love the big smile on this guy? It sure makes me want to join the party!!

Here's a bright card for anyone's birthday. I love the giant candle, you can celebrate anything with this card! If this polka paper looks familar it's because I used it to make halloween cards. LOL

Other sentiments for this card are: No one can hold a candle to you, Celebrate! or it's a party. If you have any other suggestions leave a comment here.
