Hang in There

Hi There,

It's Andrea here today wishing you all all very happy Friday. 

Today I would like to share a card I made using one of the awesome Freebies that are available in the Store.

I love red and black and also love ladybugs so I really wanted to colour up the Hang in There image so out came my trusty copics.

 

I added some glossy accents to his nose and some black enamel accents to his black spots which added some extra dimension.  I paired the image up with some scrap pieces of designer paper I had in my stash. I picked up the cute wee wooden ladybug in the dollar shop a while ago and I had to add him to my card too! For a detailed list of the supplies I used please pop over to my blog.

Chocolate Bunnies

Hi, it's Andrea here, wishing everyone a happy Sunday.

Today I am sharing another Easter card with you!  I seem to be on a roll with them this year and am having lots of fun. The hardest decision I have is deciding which image to use as there are so many fantastic Easter images in the shop.  For this card I chose 'love chocolate bunnies'.  This sweet image is a FREEBIE and can be found here.

I coloured her in with my trusty copics and hand-stitched a border round her and on the background papers.  I also added some burlap and some very cute easter buttons that I have had in my stash for a long time. More information on the supplies I used can be found on my blog. 

 The theme for our challenge this month is 'spring in your step' so remember to link up all your gorgeous spring and Easter cards.

What's Up Ladybug?

Hi Whimsie Doodles Fans, it's Andrea here, wishing you a happy Monday.
As everyone loves freebies I decided to showcase one of the many that are available in the Whimsie Doodles Store.  This cute little ladybug is called Hang in there.  She is actually supposed to be upside down but for my card today I decided to flip the image!

I coloured the image in with my copics and added glossy accents to her nose and some candy buttons to her spots.  I think she looks so cute!  I generated the sentiment on the computer and printed it out.  Some designer paper and die-cuts and it was done.  A CAS card from me today, I hope you like it.

Design Team call and Freebie

Hi everyone!  I'm really excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for a new Design Team.  So if you love our digi's and want to share your work then we'd love to hear from you :)
here are the details....

We are looking for 4-6 individuals that will assist with project samples, tutorials, blog posts and creative ideas utilizing Whimsie Doodles digital stamps during the next year starting Sept.1,2012-Sept.1.2013.

Design Team Requirements:

4 designs per month that you will post on your blog, the Whimsie Doodles blog and your online gallery.

You must have an active and established blog that you post to regularly throughout the week

You will be required to participate in WD blog hops and/or any challenges we host.

How to apply:

Email your application to whimsiedoodles@eastlink.ca and please include the following:

Your contact info (full name, address, phone number and email)
Your Blog or Website Address
SCS Gallery Link or other online gallery link if you have any
Any Current or Past Design Teams you were on (You do not need DT experience) 
Also attach JPEG photos of 3 projects that showcase your best work.

Please put "Design Team application" in the subject section of your email.

Compensation: While on the team, you will have access to all of the items that Whimsie Doodles sells as well as receive all new releases while on the team..

All applications are due by August 13, 2012.

Our DECISION will be made and announced Monday August 15th on the Whimsie Doodles blog and Facebook page.

Let's celebrate with free digi's!

What a week! First there was Canada Day now it's on to Independence Day!  To celebrate we designed two digi's to celebrate both occasions and the best part is that they are FREEEEEE! Stop by our freebie section to snag'em.

You'll notice that we won't be having a release day, in fact we won't be having a designated release day all summer.  New digi's will be coming out, they just won't be released on a specific day, instead they'll be popping in randomly throughout the summer months.   I have so many things going on right now with designing new stamp sets for There She Goes Clear Stamps to creating new digi's for Whimsie Doodles and now I'm designing wall murals for a Child Care Center. So this summer is going to be pretty busy for me. But don't worry because I will let you know when new digi's arrive in the store. :)

I have a new digi that was invented by my newest friend Reilly. He's the oldest son of my best friend and he told me of a digi that I just had to make, so I did and it's called "Reilly's Shark"
