Lollipop Treat Covers

Valentines is coming fast and I'm always searching for unique adorable things that I can make in multiples fast, that I can give to co-workers and my son's class mates. So I decided to make some Lollipop Treat holders that are just that... easy, quick and cute.  So if you love SVG's or just want to print and cut them yourself either way they'll suit you.
The best part is that they only cost $1 for each pattern.
You can check them out here.

Here are some samples....
You've got the Write Stuff.  If you don't have the right colour cardstock just cut out your pieces from white and colour them with markers or what ever medium you use.  I used my Copics to colour some of the pieces in all my samples.
I made these for my vet and her office staff. I coloured the cardstock for the cat's patches, dog's eye and even the collar buckel.
There's even a cover for a "Guess the Sex" baby shower favors.
Lollipop Treat Covers can be found here.

New card shapes available now!

Hi all Melyssa here.  I love paperpiecing it's the first thing I did when I started scrapbooking and  I  continued to do so when I switch to card making.  So today post features the newest card shapes from Whimsie Doodles.  They are really easy to make since every piece is in the pattern I didn't embellish or add anything extra.  Well I did take my white gel pen and add some shiny spots and traced some letters but that's it!
Here is Penguin Joy Card
 And Santa Card
You can find these in the Print and Clip section of the website.  You will get a set of JPEG images to print and colour or paper piece and one set of SVG files if you have an electronic cutter.  I used SCAL and my Cricut machine to cut mine.

Here are some samples made by our designer Melyssa Connolly.

Whimsie Cuts Bookmarks

Are you looking for a quick gift that's fun and easy to make?  The DT thought this little guy would make a great gift for a child's classmates. All you have to do is print, colour and paperpiece him together.  There are 4 snowmen on the page and 4 embellishements (hat, scraf and jacket) on a seperate page.

I just coloured the bottom the bottom snowmen with Copics and added dots and stripes with a white gel pen.

The back of the snowman has a "handmade especially for you by" stamp on the back ready for you to sign!

Hey, Hey, Hey....It's Whimsie Wednesday!

Santa Claus is coming to town and you know what that means.... if you want to make sure you stay on Santa's "NICE" list, you better get his favorite cookies ready for his visit to your house!

This week's challenge (Whimsie Wednesday #10) is called "Cookies for Santa".  All you need to do to participate is use a cookie shape (a.k.a. circle) in your card design... and of course, a Whimsie Doodles image!!  We have to do what we can to keep Mr. Ho Ho Ho, hap hap happy!!

You have from now until midnight next Tuesday, December 15th to upload and share your creations on our Paper Craft Planet discussion page.  You may also upload your creation to SCS; just be sure to use the keyword whimsiedoodles (all lower case, no spaces), so that we can find it!

We can't wait to see what you come up with! I am always amazed at the creativity and different takes on things we get from our Whimsie Doodlers :) You all inspire me, what can I say??

My card features the WhimsieCut, 'Snowglobe' and the Whimsie Doodle image, 'Snow Friend'. I used Copic Spica pens to highlight some things and make them sparkle, but it is hard to see in my photo. I also used Flower Soft for the snow.

Whimsie Cuts Teapot

Some really exciting things are happening here at Whimsie Doodles! We are now going to have Whimsie Cuts cutting files. If you love to make paper piecings then you'll love our new product.
The first cutting file I have to show you is a Teapot! This also comes as a jpeg for those of you like me have to do things the "old fashioned" way...cutting with scissors.
Here arevthe teapot's pieces. The cutting file also comes with two jpeg images. One is as seen here the other is reversed as shown in the card sample.

The card sample shows the Teapot in reverse. Just to show you can have the spout facing anyway you like.
These files work perfectly with the Cricut and Sure Cuts a lot program.
