Batty Girl

Karen her today sharing a fun card for my Design Team inspiration using Batty Girl image, which can be found in the SHOP under the Holidays/Events tab Halloween.

Batty Girl was colored using my Copic markers in purple, green and orange. She was really fun to color. I had the perfect sentiment to use "Batty for You" from a set by Jaded Blossom.  You can read all the card details on my blog at Simply Frenzied.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you can join in on the monthly October challenge - "All Things Fall".  There is still plenty of time to play along.

Hugs - Karen

You're Fangtastic

Hi There,

It's Andrea here, and today I would like to share a fangtastic card with you all.  We don't really celebrate Halloween over here in Australia but that doesn't stop me from making Halloween themed cards, especially when there are so many fantastic images available in the shop!

I wanted to make a masculine card so decided to use Vampie, one of the images from the Little Boo's set. I love this set, it has a great range of characters and they're so cute, not scary at all! You can view and buy the set here.

Here is what I came up with:

I coloured the image with my copics and framed him using a couple of die cut circles. I paired him up with some halloween digital paper and created the sentiment on my computer. If you would like any more details on the supplies I used please pop over to my blog.

Thanks for popping by, have a great day.

Spells

It's almost Halloween!!!  Can you feel me geeking out from behind the computer?!?  haha!!

This is 'Spells' and it can be found at the very bottom of the Halloween Digis page.  I wanted to do something simple with this image because I didn't want to take away from it.  I just think it's so cute and I'm usually not someone who chooses to work with a lot of images that don't have people/animals in it.  But I liked this one... I think it was the big black cauldron and the book of spells with that star wand sitting on it!

I paired it up with more scrap paper and free-hand cut out that sentiment.  It's actually sitting on a black banner but I mis-gauged how big the sentiment was!!

Hope you have a wonderful and safe Halloween!  See you again soon!

Lunchbox Notes

Hi everyone! It's Laura here with you today, and I've got a really fun and simple project to share!

I used an older digi set called Halloween Tags to make some little lunchbox notes for my kiddos! I love the cute jokes on the tags, and I thought the kids would get a kick out of finding these in their lunchboxes on Halloween!

(front view - jokes)

This was really easy to do... the digi file includes a "Quick Print" image, with all of the tags lined up. I just printed the fronts and backs of the tags to fill the full sheet of paper. Once cut, each tag is about the size of a business card.

I simply matted the tags with black cardstock, glued the joke to the front, and the punchline to the back! So easy!

(back view - answers)

That's all for this time!
Thanks so much for visiting!

And love his shimmery wings!

Oh I so love these backgrounds!  And the set includes a Christmas, out of space and a farm scenes - I'm going to be busy playing with these - check them all out here.  I used Authentique papers and a La-La Land Crafts Spiderweb Border die.

Even Vampires Do It!

Welcome back Whimsie Doodles fans! I hope you all enjoyed your summer, and are rested and ready for the holiday crafting season!
Have you checked out this month's new release yet??? The cute set of "Little Boo's" is perfect for Halloween goodies!

I used Vampie from the set to make a little Halloween treat for my kiddos...

With all the sweets they end up with on Halloween, I thought this would be the perfect little non-candy gift for them.
I colored a few Vampie images, cut them out, and popped them up on a simple tag. The sentiment is something I just typed up myself. To keep the tops of the toothbrushes clean, I slid them inside of a clear treat bag... these are the long ones that hold pretzels (made by Wilton) and I just cut them in half to cover only the top. I tied on each tag with a little bit of burlap string.

Pretty simple, but totally cute, right?
These are actually very affordable if you have a bunch to make. I found the toothbrushes in a 3-pack at the Dollar Tree, and everything else was from my stash.

Hope you are inspired to get started on your Halloween crafting!
Thanks for visiting!

Frank N. Candy....good!

The first card is just bursting at the seams with candy corn!! I also created the border with the stitching stamp. I coloured the little Frank image and cut him out to adhere him to the inside of the (after I stamped the sentiment)
For this card I used the muffin stamp and heavily embellished it with sequins die cut stars and charcoal twine.  The cut out star was created by cutting the small star then centering a larger star over the empty star space and die cutting again.
This guy was really fun to make since I love cupcakes and so does he.  I drew the little pumpkin face on his t-shirt  with a black Copic multi liner. The pattern papers are from a Halloween theme Project Life pack.
Materials

Copic Markers
Charcoal twine- The Twinery
Dies-Banner: A Jillian Vance Design, Stars: Spellbinders
3D foam squares

Wood veneer stars- Studio Calico

Happy Haunting!

Hi everyone! It's Laura N here to share some inspiration with you today! I decided to color up this new Frank's Girl image (you can find her in the What's New Section of the Whimsie Doodles Store).

I thought she would be cute with a green complexion! She is colored with Copics and paired with some patterned papers from my scrap bin. I sponged the clouds behind her using cloud die cuts as a mask, and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

That's all I have for you today... I hope you enjoyed another simple project from me! Thanks so much for visiting!

2 Cute to Spook

Happy Tuesday!! Melyssa here and I've got a little Halloween card to share with you. I kept it real simple. I printed and coloured the image (Little Witch) and simply used it as my card. A little shadow serves to "ground" the image then add a sentiment and your done.
You can find the digi Little Witch here. http://www.whimsiedoodles.com/whats-new.html

I used a white gel pen to make the polka dots, Copics to colour the image and chalk to blush the cheeks.

Halloween Sentiments 2012 Card Set

Hello Everyone!

This is Marlene from ScrappinCookie!

Thank You for joining me here at Whimsie Doodles today!

Can you believe that today is the LAST day of September?! Where has the month gone? As I walk into many department stores the Halloween Decorations are everywhere, the costumes are out for purchase and the aisle are filled with Candy. October is HERE.

Today I have a quick Set of 3 Halloween Cards using the "Halloween Sentiments 2012" from Whimsie Doodles' September Release.

I used THREE(3) Sentiments from the SIX(6) Sentiments included in the "Halloween Sentiments 2012" Collection. You can find them in the "Holidays & Events - Halloween" section of the store.

Best Witches - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection.

The "Halloween Sentiments 2012" were sized to about 2" using Microsoft Word and then cut and embossed with my Nestabilities Lg Circle Dies.

Boo - Halloween Sentimenst 2012 Collection.

To keep the set coordinating, each card follows the same sketch using different patterned papers from the DCWV Midnight Spell Collection.

Hopping Day - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection

I couldn't just leave the inside of the cards blank, so using Photoshop Elements I erased the borders and wording from the Halloween Sentiments 2012 leaving only the image. I then used MS Word to recolor the image and enlarge it to fit inside of the card.

Hopping Day - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection

Happy Haunting

Omgoodness do you know how hard it is too tuck away cards until you can show them??  Oh I can tell you it kills me!! LOL  It's almost like getting a new craft toy.  When I get it home I can spend hours trying to figure out what I want to make with.  I have to make something immediately like it's going to disappear if I don't.  It's the same when I finish a card, I"m just dying to show it to someone...anyone.  I think it's so I have a "witness" that I've done something crafty today :)  So here is my card.  I hope you like it.
I used Lizzie Flying witch to make this card.
the clouds are from Memory Box
the moon is a 3" circle punch with a 2" circle punched out.

Frankie's Girl

I love Halloween! I think it comes from being an actress/director, and in the theater a lot. It's so fun to dress up! And I love making Halloween cards - especially when the images are so cute, like this one!
My card today is made using Frankie's Girl, one of the adorable Halloween images at Whimsie Doodles. Designer paper is from Basic Grey's Eerie Paper Pad.
I printed her out on X-Press Copic Blending Cardstock and then colored in using these Copics (incl. Clear Spica Glitter and BV29 and E33):
I added some glittery die cuts from K & Co. (candelabra and bat), rolled flowers in black, green, and purple felt, and some beautiful black and white ribbon.
The inside is decorated with a Martha Stewart web punch and more K & Co. glittery goodness:

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Trick or Treat!

Hello! Doodlelicious Diva Judy here today
to share one of the fun new releases!

I LOVE having cute sentiments that are versatile for cards
and packaging and gift items, and these
new Halloween Sentiments 2 surely fit that description!

I printed my sentiment on designer paper (from my LSS who decided to cut off the name and collection - sorry!)
and then added Mint Spica Glitter pen to the letters.
You can see all the sparkle and shine here (click for a close-up!):
I think that last little ghost on the left thinks he is getting pulled along too hard and is trying to keep up with the rest of the group!
The house, bat and ghosts are by K & Co.
The fence punch is from Martha Stewart.

Here is the simple inside:
