Happy Valentine's Day

Hi there Whimsie Doodles Fans

Andrea here today wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day.

My inspiration card has a Toad-ly awesome image, perfect for these valentine makes!
I love this guy in his Toad suit and the punny sentiment that comes with it.  You can find this image here in the people section of the Whimsie Doodles Store.

I colored him in with my copics and kept the layout pretty simple just adding an embossed heart background and some scraps of paper. If you would like any more information on the supplies I used  please pop over to my blog.

Thanks so much for popping by today.
See you again soon.

Sweet Little Valentine

Hello!  With Valentine's Day just around the corner, literally... I wanted to share this sweet little card I made.  This is Love Abby. You can find her in the "What's New" section of the shop.  I absolutely love this image.  Her little knee socks remind me of the ones my mom used to dress me in when I was a little girl.  I, of course, hated them at the time, but now I look back on them with fondness.  I'm sure I looked adorable in them :)

I printed her off in light grey and colored her with my Copics.  Sort of an in between for the no lines technique.  I just love how she turned out.  Hope you guys have a wonderful Valentine's Day and be sure to visit my blog for more information about this card.  Thanks for stopping by!

I Heart You

Hello Friends!

Susie here with another valentine for you today.

This sweet little image is called I Heart You. After you click on the link, scroll down just a little and you will find this darling girl.  You will discover so many sweet images, it might be hard for you to choose just one.

I loved coloring this image and then framing it behind a dimensional panel.  I added a felt heart and a few sequins to finish off my card.  I can't wait to put this into the mailbox.  I know just who will be getting this valentine!

This card is on my blog today and I'd love for you to visit me whenever you can.

Have a wonderful day!!

I Think You're Delightful

Susie here today with a fun Valentine card for you.

Did you know that you don't always have to print your digis in black?  I colored this image once with a black outline and decided to see how it would look if I made the outline a pinkish red. Oh my goodness....I fell in love with it. The color is perfect for this card!!  And then I found some card stock that matched it. Score!

This cutie patootie image is from the Valentine Punnies Collection. After you click on the link, scroll down toward toward the middle of the page to find this great digi (sentiment included of course!)

This card is on my blog today and I'd love for you to visit me whenever you can.

Have a wonderful day!!

You Make My Heart Race!

Hey friends!  kel here today with a quick share of a card I made today.  Baby Z, my 3.5-month old, definitely wore his fussy pants all day today and I haven't been able to sit and craft for more than about 10 minutes at a time!!  But that's one thing I LOVE about some of these Whimsie Doodle images... they are a breeze to color and they are ALL so cute, you don't need to do much to make a super fun card!!

I'm definitely in a valentines crafting mood!!  And with the boys, I always have to think of how I can do hearts and valentines without going too girly, so this image was just PERFECT!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!!  I'm off to relieve my poor husband... I can hear the baby having a crying fit in the other room!!

You've Got the Write Stuff!

Hi everyone! Laura here... anyone working on last minute Valentine's today?? Whimsie Doodles has some of the best tags for classroom Valentine's, and I've got a pretty simple one to show you today.

These are the Valentine's my daughter and I made for her First Grade class. We used one of the tags from the Valentine Gift Tags set. The kids get so much candy on days like this, it's nice to have a non-candy alternative! I printed up the tags, colored in the pencils with my Copics, and then glued each tag onto a scalloped rectangle backing.

We found some cute pencils at Target (gotta love the Dollar Spot!), and also a roll of washi tape, that we used to attach the pencils to the back of the tags.

30 Valentine's later, and we're done! These came together really fast, and would be ideal for any Last Minute Lucy's out there (like me!).

That's all I have for you today! Thanks for visiting!

Chomp, chomp, chomp

He he he!  It's Mary J here and I was just thinking of the many Whimsie Doodles digis make me laugh and this one is no exception!  Here is a card I made using one of the new January images called Chomp...

So perfect for an unromantic guy - like my husband!  I know he will like this card, so unlike all of my others! I kept it very simple with some gingham paper and ribbon and thought the black card would showcase him well.

I gotta go now but I'll be back soon with another Doodlelicious Diva make!

I'd chomp

I'm sharing a card today that I think is pretty simple to make.  Just print the image and colour image, mat, die cut pattern paper, adhere to card face and tie some twine.  Done!!  Don't you think this is great for a kid, especially a guy card. It's simple, not too frilly and it has an alligator on it.

Fall Apart

You what I love best about digital stamps?  The fact that I can re-size, erase and flip them without masking, stamp kissing or getting ink all over my fingers. :)  I wanted to have a set of bears leaning on each other so I flipped the "Healing bear" digi and erased any bits I didn't want.  I coloured them both brown and used a blending pen to lift some colour from the first one to make him a little lighter.
Materials
Digital stamp- Healing Bear: Whimsie Doodles
Copic Markers: Bears: E23,25 and E25,27 + a blender pen to lighten the bears.
BG11:background
R22,20: ears
Chalk: Blush on cheeks
White gel pen: Uni-Ball (best pen ever)
Paper- Be. Loved: Fancy Pants
Divine Twine-Bubblegum: Whisker Graphics

Don't forget the sale ends this Friday Jan. 24.

4x4 Valentine Messages Notecards...

Hello Doodlelicious Fans!

Marlene here from ScrappinCookie!

I'm so happy you have come to join me today at the Whimsie Doodles Blog.

Valentine's Day is less than ONE WEEK away, have you started on your Valentine's Day Cards? Today I have some really quick and easy 4x4 Valentine Notecards made with the Whimsie Doodles' "Valentine Messages" Digital Stamps.

The "Valentine Messages" Digital Stamp Collection contains six(6) JPEG images and a quick print sheet for each. I only used four(4) out of the six(6) images included. You can find the "Valentine Messages" Digital Stamp in the Valentine Section of the Whimsie Doodles Store.

DigYou_Valentine Messages

These little notecards are PERFECT for teachers, co-workers, friends, family, etc. I simply resized them to 2 -1/8" in Mircosoft Word, printed them out and used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Lg Circles to cut them out.

Fish_Valentine Messages

To keep the 4x4 notecards simple, I just used some red cardstock embossed with my Sizzix Valentine Set 2 Embossing Folder and scrap pieces from the American Crafts XOXO 6x6 Pad I had left from other cards.

Mustache_Valentine Messages

I wanted each notecard to have its own unique look, so I just rotated the sketch as I went along.

Snap_Valentine Messages

I hope my "4x4 VALENTINE MESSAGES NOTECARDS" have inspired you to create your own.
