Something NOT seasonal!

Hi everyone, it's Mary J here with a card that is definitely not suitable for this time of year! 

See, I told you!  Definitely sun and definitely not warm enough to wear just your pants, lol!  I made this card for my friend who - very sensibly - is going on holiday to get some winter sunshine.  I love cute penguin - he's called Pearl's Castle and I matched him up with Echo Park Little Boy papers and used an embossed cloud folder for interest.

Warm Wishes For a Happy New Year! 8-)

Hi All! Shannon here, and a Very Happy Day After Christmas to you!  Hope you've all been having a Wonderful Holiday so far! Today I'm back to share my latest Whimsie Doodles, Doodlelicious Diva creation featuring the Absolutely Darling  Pearl the Penguin  image! Isn't he just the Cutest!! 8-) So Darned Adorable with his cozy scarf and earmuffs!8-)

I colored up my Sweet Pearl the Penguin with my trusty Copics, did a little paper piecing for his cozy scarf, added some emboss resist snowflakes and shaded with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I cut him out with the help of my Classic Circles Nesties sets & popped him up with a bit of foam tape.

For my mats and BG layers, I chose a combination of kraft CS from my stash and some Sweet Festive dp's from Echo Park's This & That Christmas 6x6 collection. And to finish it all up I added my computer generated sentiment hand cut into layered banner tags, a couple of Sweet little Make a Snowflake die cuts, and a touch of Stardust Stickles here and there for a bit of sparkle! Oh and the Awesome Sketch is SSS190 8-)
