Ladybug Day

For my inspiration post today I am using Ladybug Day found in the Summer Fun Digi's  tab in the SHOP.  The weather in the Pacific NW has been lovely and I just wanted to make one more card that was summery, bright and cheery.  Love these cute little ladybugs!

I made a simple easel style card with one of my favorite color combo - Black, Red and White

The image was colored using my Copic markers. I layered a black gingham strip from my scrap pile, over the top of a red scalloped border.  The image was layered on red cardstock.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment with black ink and I have to confess, the cute little stitched die cut heart is covering an ink smudge.  It happens, but I love when I figure out how to salvage the card and not feel compelled to start over.

I hope you enjoyed my sharing today and please check out my blog,  Simply Frenzied for all the details.

Be sure to join us on the 15th for our September Challenge.

Have a wonderful day - Karen

For my Design Team Inspiration today...I used this FUN image found in the Summer Fun Digis tab in the  SHOP called Margaritas

I chose to use summer colors Ocean and Yellow and a pop of red for the cherry
Looks so refreshing doesn't it?

Bye Bye Summer

Hello there!  So excited to be back and showing you some of my creations.  We just bought a new house and spent most of our summer moving so it was nice to have a little crafting break, but now I am refreshed and ready to try out my new craft room!  Just wanted to share one last summer card before we dive into fall.  This little guy is Scuba Ollie and you can find him in the Whimsie Doodles shop here.  I just love how cute he is in his little snorkel gear.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

tags? Ummm how about cards??

Happy happy day, it's beginning to look like Spring around here (minus the patches of snow)  But at least the sun is shining and I can hear birds chirping.  So it's all good. I have to tag/cards to share with you today.  You see at first I intended to make some tags using Seas The Day stamps but as I got started I quickly learned I didn't have the main ingrediant, the tags.  So I die cut some fancy rectangles and thought they'd do but I wasn't 100% sold on them so I literally just stuck them on a card!!! hahahaha
