Bunny Egg

Hi Peeps

Hope you're all well...

Christine here with my DT inspiration card...  I decided that I wanted to see some bright colours as it's been pretty grey lately here in the UK, so I chose to use the lovely Bunny Egg and coloured her up with strong colours...

Some lovely springtime paper helped to make the card vibrant.

Hope you like what I did - the little sentiment was done on the PC to finish the card.

More details are available on my blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day!

Lollipop Girl

Hi Peeps

Christine here - and it's my turn today to show you a card I made with the adorable Lollipop Girl available in the shop HERE!  I don't normally go for yellows and oranges, so was well out of my comfort zone..  but she turned out well!

I decoupaged the lollipop so I could use an embossing tool to give it some shape... I think it worked as I like the effect..

I'd love you to drop by my blog to say hello... and of course to get more details of what I used here.

Have a good day all...
Big hugs

Abby Birthday!

Hi Lovely Whimsie Doodles Fans..

Christine here - and today I'm bringing you a card using the gorgeous Birthday Abby (one of this month's new release)..  isn't she just such a cutie?  I was also tempted to use a colour that I don't normally go for... yellow...  but it seemed to suit her personality!  OK, I confess...  every image I colour takes on a personality and gives me hints on which colours to use...!!  Will you send for the men in white coats now?? LOL!

This time I chose the paper first as I thought she needed some lovely bright colours...  (these are MME), then I used my Copics to match up the shades on the chevrons.  I always love using my stitched edge dies, and I found a little heart die too to 'cover the join'!

The sentiment was done on the PC and I used some glitter to highlight her pretty dress!  If you want more details of colours etc...  please pop over to my blog HERE - I'd love for you to say hello.

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful day!

Coffee Anyone??

Hi Peeps

It's Christine here today... and as it's 2015 now, I decided to get away from all the Christmas colours that we've been using recently.  I choose pink and pale green to colour the gorgeous Latte Lizzie..

Of course, she had to have a touch of glitter on her hat and coffee cup, didn't she?

She was so cute and easy to colour... then I fussy cut her to add to my card - more details on my blog here..

Hope you all have a good day!
Hugs

Happy Christmas from Doodleicous Diva Christine!!

Hi All...

I know it's soooo close to Christmas and that you'll all be mad busy, but I'm popping in to introduce myself as one of the new Doodleicous Divas!  I'm so excited to be joining this fab fun team..  and to work with Melyssa's GORGEOUS images!!

Now a bit about me...  my name is Christine, and I live in a beautiful part of Yorkshire, UK. As we've only lived here for 5 years - we love exploring when we get time.   I am a very young-at-heart crafter who has a very patient and wonderful OH who always supports me in my love of this fabulous hobby. He often waits around for hours in craft shops - and never gets impatient!  I also have two very beautiful grown up daughters who I'm so very proud of - but I don't have grandchildren... yet!!

I've been a crafter for many years, I think I've gone through all the phases including embroidery and jewellery making.. but my passion has to be papercraft!  I would say my style has to be classed as 'girlie' - as I have a tremendous love of pink with lots of added glitter and bling!  I love experimenting with shading and use mostly Copics - but would like to properly learn to use the Distress Inks and Inktense pencils which lie in my crafty stash!!

But enough about me and onto my card...

I created this card for a lovely friend of mine and chose to use Ugg Leah available amongst the other fabulous images in the Christmas section of the shop HERE.

I used an embossing folder for the snow..  then added a bit of torn card for the snow bank she's standing on... of course, it had to have added glitter!  I added more pink card edged with a Martha Stewart die..  a bit of twine with a snowflake charm... then a PC generated sentiment and it was done.

That's it from me for today....  I'd love it if you'd like to pop by my blog here - Cards by Christine - to say hello or for more details of any of the cards I make.

All that is left is for me to wish you and yours a

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Big hugs
