Hello friends! It is such a bittersweet thing to say goodbye. kel here with a card and a Whimsie Doodles blog post for the very last time!!  So I wanted to share with you some of the cards I had made for upcoming posts that won't get shown!!  And make sure you head on over to the Whimsie Doodles store and grab some of these super cute digis at 75% off before March 16th when they disappear forever!!

This sweetie is Lucky Abby from the middle of the What's New page.

I think I've had this Doodlebug paper for FOREVER and finally cut into it to make this card. And of course I had to give her some ginger hair... I had so much fun coloring her up!

This sweetie is Beach Hat Ava from the middle of the Summer Fun Digis Page! I am so excited for summer to get here!! I am really honestly not a beach person but my kids love it and we're looking forward to a lot more time swimming in the sun!! Maybe I need a big sun hat like this too!!

I colored her up with my Copics and then added her to this super bright summer paper... It's one of those that is so busy and bright I didn't know what to do with!! It's been sitting in my stash for FOREVER just waiting for the right digi to pair with I guess!! haha! And then I turned her into a birthday card... just about any kind of sentiment would have worked but I find that I need birthday cards more than the others so I thought this would be a cute summer birthday card to have on hand!!

This cutie is HapBee Turtle towards the middle of the Freebies page. So cute and so punny, I couldn't resist!

And finally, another card using this cutie and her kitty!

This sweetie is Bed Time Lizzie towards the bottom of the What's New page. I colored her up in teal/turquoise this time and am so happy with how she came out!

Pajama Girls

Hello friends!  kel here with two quick cards for a pair of sweet little twin girls! 

I get to see them this weekend and this is their belated Valentine's card from me :)

Gnomies

Hello friends!  kel here with this adorable trio... foursome?? Does the snow-mie count?? haha!  I have been ITCHING to use this digi.  SUUUUUUPER digging gnomes recently.

These fun buddies are Gnomies towards the bottom half of the Christmas digis page. So cute.

I colored them up with my Copics and then matched them to this scrap paper I had in a super old DCWV Glitter stack.  Perfect match!!

Hope everyone's staying warm wherever you are, and happy winter!  I graduated yesterday with my BA in History, so I'm super stoked to celebrate this winter with no more homework!!  haha!  Well, at least until I start grad school in the fall!!  See you again soon!!

Birthday Latte Lizzie

de-LIGHT-ful

Hello friends!  kel here!!  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this digi because of its versatility.  It's actually from the Valentines Punnies set on the Valentine page!  And yes, it has a heart filament in the light bulb, but you really can't tell that it's a valentines thing, right??  haha!!

This is another one that was super easy to color up because I'm so short on time right now... It's almost midterms for me in my FINAL semester of undergrad and also we just hit Fall Break/Fall Intersession for my kiddos, so with all THREE of them home, I'm especially short on time!!

But I just love how easy this whole card was to put together!  And the black and white and yellow color scheme is a YAY from me!!  I absolutely love it and will look for more chances to use this color combo without it looking like a bee all the time haha!!

Rainbow Unicorn!

Hello friends!  kel here with this pretty Unicorn from the top of the What's New page.  And yes, of course I had to make it rainbow!

And yes, of course I had to make it sparkly!  lol!!  I'm honestly not usually such a fan of unicorns and stuff but I couldn't help it with this one!  It's just too cute!!  And I have to say that I chose this digi to use this week because I'm soooooooo busy.  But he (because unless they have some female identifier like bows or lashes, I dub all pretty unicorns he!) was so easy to color up because I left his body white!  Just a little bit of shading and he was good!!

Hello friends!  kel here with a beautiful little birthday card! This pretty lady is Adorable Abby at the top of the What's New page!

So I've had this polaroid/sentiment die for a while but never got to use it, but she's perfect for it!  And shhhhh... this pastel polka-dot background is actually from an Easter pack!!!  But doesn't it match so perfectly?!?  haha!  Versatility, I love it!!

And baker's twine... le sigh... my absolute favorite accessory to add to a card!!  A girl can never have enough colors I think!!!  lol!  See you again soon!

Diving Leah

Hello friends!  kel here with a card that I'm totally, completely in LURRRRVE with!  The colors!!  So not something I would normally use, but it just works and I like it... I like it a lot!!

This sweetie is Diving Leah towards the bottom half of the People Digi's page.  I colored her up with my Copics and then popped her up on some pop-dots.  This paper that I used for her background has these waves in these different patterns and I had no clue how to use it so it's been sitting on my shelf for a couple years (like most of my paper lol!) and then I finally decided to cut into it because the colors matched so well.  And I'm so happy I did!  Love how it came out!!

Polka Dot Dress!

Hello friends!  kel here with this adorable, adorable cutie today! This sweetie is Abby in Hat on the What's New page!

I can't tell you how much I just ADORE her polka dot dress!!  And those big roses in her big floppy hat!!  She is so cute!!  I knew I wanted to do a pink and brown color scheme with this one and I'm SO happy with how she came out!! And that baker's twine bow was just the perfect little addition to the card to finish it off!  Just love it!!

Bunny Egg

Hello friends!   kel here to share with you a quick cutie and a quick reminder to join in our monthly challenge!  As always, it's anything goes with an optional twist, and this month the twist is "Bunnies."  This cutie is Bunny Egg on the Easter digis page.

I paired her up with some super bright and super old (surprise I've used old paper lol!!) paper I couldn't figure out what to do with for so long!!  But I think this came out so bright and cheery and fun, I love it!!  And here's a closeup of how I popped this cutie up and colored her up with my Copics.  And yes, I HAND fussy-cut this cutie out.  I don't trust my Scan N Cut to cut precisely on the lines... giving a little border is okay but just not on the lines!!

Thank my Lucky Stars!

Hello friends!   kel here to share with you a super fun super hero card.  This amazing lady is Super Abby, the newest release at the top of the What's New page!

I colored Abby up with my Copics and then added her to some star paper... it's actually from a baby boy paper line, can you tell?!?  Yay for multi-theming paper haha!!  I finished her off with some super cute cloud washi and a sweet sentiment too!!

Ugg Leah

Hello friends!  kel here to share with you a super fun Christmas card!! 

This beauty is Ugg Leah and she can be found towards the top of the Christmas digis (under Holidays/Events) page.

I paired her up with some paper from a 6x6 Jillibean Soup pad + some DoubleDot scraps.  You can't tell (yay!) but that blue dot circle behind her is actually two pieces! I didn't have a single piece big enough to make the full circle but I was able to do two almost-halves and then hid the seam behind her... perfect way to stretch your scraps!!
