Cozy Lizzie

Happy Monday everyone, we are another day closer to Santa arriving - yay.  It’s Andrea here with my very first post as a Doodlelicious Diva – yippee.  I am so thrilled to be part of this fantastic teamWe have a great bunch of talented ladies,  your going to be blown away with their makes!

So, a little about myself…..I’m a Scottish girl but I'm currently living 'down under' in sunny Sydney, Australia! I decided to take a few months off work in 2010 to see the world... and I never quite made it back home!!  On my travels I was lucky enough to meet some fantastic people one being my husband!  Travelling is definitely one of my passions, the other is, you've guessed it....making cards!

I first gave card-making a try way back in 2007. I bought a ton of supplies but only ended up making a handful of cards before work, life and then travel got in the way. I decided to take it up again about a year ago and was amazed at how much it had changed – so many supplies, dies, digital sites and I discovered Copics!!  Now I’m absolutely obsessed and my stash is growing at a phenomenal rate! There are just so many awesome products out there that I just have to have!  I’ve been a huge fan of Whimsie Doodles ever since I first discovered digital stamps. I love how adorable and fun they are.  If I had to describe my style I would say clean and layered with added cute - that's where Melyssa images come in!  You may have already seen a couple of my makes as I was lucky enough to be guest designer for Whimsie Doodles in November :)

Talking of cute, for my card today I have used the adorable Winter Lizzie.
I have made a Christmas card here but she could just as easily be used for a winter birthday card too.

I love her outfit, she looks so warm and cozy.  I used a mixture of dies and a stencil to create the wintery scene. For her fluffy hood and boots I used white Flowersoft and Stickles Glitter Glue. Here's a close-up.

That's it from me today. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope Santa is good to you and fills your stockings with crafting goodies.

Feel free to come and visit me at weeblueswirls.blogspot.com.au.  I’m a blogging newbie and would love to make some crafty friends.
See you all next year!

Hugs Andrea x

Love the idea of mixing in pearls with the flat snowflake dots. Looks like a great image for colouring too!
