September Challenge Time

Hello Whimsie Doodles fans!

We are back after our summer break with an all new monthly challenge and we hope you will join us.

We would love more people to play along so have decided to change our challenges to 'Anything Goes with an Optional Twist'.

Each month we will have a new twist and it would be awesome if you could follow the theme, though it's not compulsory.

Our twist this month is 'Let's Party!

The Divas are showcasing cards following the twist. Here's what they have come up with...

Andrea using Party Stinker

Brenda
Goodie Bags using Halloween Hootenannies

 Karen  using Balloon Leah

 Kel using Gnome Surprise

Patricia using Party Stinker

Now it's your turn and we can't wait to see what you create!!

There will be one winner drawn at random from all eligible entries.  If the winning entry has followed the 'Anything Goes' theme the prize will be THREE standard Whimsie Doodles images of their choice. However, if the winning entry has followed the twist the prize is FIVE standard Whimsie Doodles images!

Please make sure you take a look at the Monthly Challenge Details for all the specifics before you link up. Please remember that we have a limit of two entries per person and projects cannot be entered in more that five other challenges.

You have until October 13th, 2016 to link up for your chance to win!!

Thanks for popping by - we hope you'll join us.

Happy Bee Day

Hi Whimsie Doodle Fans and Happy Friday,

It's Andrea here sharing a sweet birthday card with you.  This darling is called Bee-atrice.
Isn't her bee outfit the cutest ever!

I coloured her with my copics and added some glitter to her wings. I paired her up with some designer paper and a honeycomb background that I created with a stencil, some crackled texture paste and glitter.  If you would like more information on the supplies I used please pop over to my blog.

Have a great weekend.
Happy crafting.

Egg-stra Special Easter

Hello friends, it's Andrea here.
Easter is only a few days away and I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the long weekend :)   Today I'm sharing a quick and easy Easter card with you, perfect for all those last minute makes!
This digi is Special Easter and and can be found here.  I had so much fun colouring this egg!

I used a tag die and framed it with some bright candy coloured spotted paper. I couldn't resist adding a variety of coloured twine.  I then mounted the tag onto the reverse side of an embossed spotted background and added some sequins for extra pops of colour. I hope you like it :) All the supplies used for this card can be found on my blog.

Thanks for popping by and see you all again soon,
Hugs Andrea x

Magical Mousey Birthday!

Hi all!  Itʻs been over 2 years since we last went on a trip and Iʻm getting a little bit of a traveling itch!!  Can you tell where Iʻm itching to go???  haha!

I was happy to play with this super cute image, Balloon Lizzie, and knew I wanted to pair her with some paper from a Disney stack... but didnʻt want to be overwhelmed with mouse ears, so this stripey paper was perfect!!

Can you believe itʻs the end of the month already?!?  February just flew by in a wink!!  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The Cutest Dragon on the Block

Hi everyone, it's Andrea here.  I hope you are all having a great week. Can you believe we are nearly midway through February already! Where is the time going!
Chinese New Year is on the 19th of February this year so I thought I should make card for the occasion. When I think of Chinese Celebrations I think of dragons, red and gold/yellow and obviously lanterns, so that is what I have gone for with my card!  This adorable New Year Dragon is only available as part of an amazing collection of images which you can find here. The sentiment comes with him :)

My card is very CAS but I love the strong colours. I coloured the image with my copics, and also used my copics and a stencil to create the background paper.  A couple of tiny adhesive stars and it was all done.

Love is in the Air...

Happy Monday everyone!
Laura here with my latest Doodlelicious Diva creation... have you seen this month's New Releases yet?? This adorable piggy is my favorite of the bunch!

Isn't he a cutie?! Perfect for Valentine's Day, but he could definitely be used for birthdays, anniversaries, or just "I love you" cards.

I colored the image with Copics, and then added a few clouds cut from white cardstock and vellum. Super simple layout, but I like the way it turned out!

That's all from me for today, but stay tuned for more Doodlelicious Diva Inspiration coming your way throughout the week!
Thanks for visiting!

What's Up Ladybug?

Hi Whimsie Doodles Fans, it's Andrea here, wishing you a happy Monday.
As everyone loves freebies I decided to showcase one of the many that are available in the Whimsie Doodles Store.  This cute little ladybug is called Hang in there.  She is actually supposed to be upside down but for my card today I decided to flip the image!

I coloured the image in with my copics and added glossy accents to her nose and some candy buttons to her spots.  I think she looks so cute!  I generated the sentiment on the computer and printed it out.  Some designer paper and die-cuts and it was done.  A CAS card from me today, I hope you like it.

You Make My Heart Race!

Hey friends!  kel here today with a quick share of a card I made today.  Baby Z, my 3.5-month old, definitely wore his fussy pants all day today and I haven't been able to sit and craft for more than about 10 minutes at a time!!  But that's one thing I LOVE about some of these Whimsie Doodle images... they are a breeze to color and they are ALL so cute, you don't need to do much to make a super fun card!!

I'm definitely in a valentines crafting mood!!  And with the boys, I always have to think of how I can do hearts and valentines without going too girly, so this image was just PERFECT!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!!  I'm off to relieve my poor husband... I can hear the baby having a crying fit in the other room!!

Let's Celebrate!

Hello friends,

It's Andrea here brightening up your Monday with some Whimsie Doodles cuteness!
For my card today I used the gorgeous Balloon Lizzie, isn't she the sweetest?

I coloured her in with my copics and then realised I had no suitable shades of paper to match her with, so out came the copics again, a stencil, and a journaling card!!  It's a very bad habit of mine just to start colouring without planning any sort of layout or matching papers!!  Does anyone else do this?!

Anyway I hope you all have a great Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by, see you again soon.

You Color My World - with Copic Abby

Happy Sunday Whimsie Doodles Fans!

Susie here today to share with you a really great digi - maybe one we all can relate to because she has Copic markers in her hands!

I LOVED coloring Copic Abby.  I think you will too because you could make those markers into any brand you like!  She is on our WHAT'S NEW PAGE.  Just scroll down a little past the middle of the page to find her.

I couldn't resist making Copic Abby into a shaker card because I just knew I could use lots of colored sequins to go with my "You Color My World" theme.  Super fun!

If you love to color, or know friends who do, you will need this digi.  What friend wouldn't love getting a card like this from you in her mailbox?

Stay doodlelicious and have a wonderful day!

Birthday Abby

Happy Friday Whimsie Doodles fans!
Laura here today, and it's my turn to share some cuteness with you...

I've colored up the newly released Birthday Abby for a simple, girly birthday card. I matched Abby with some Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe paper and added a sentiment stamped onto vellum. To finish off the card I scattered on some glittery gumdrops.

Up close, you can see I put a bit of Stardust Stickles on the bottom layer of her skirt...

 Simple and sweet!
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks so much for visiting!

For the Birthday Girl!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I am really pushing myself with the girly cards these days... I honestly have NO problem with boy stuff and boy colors but hand me pinks and purples and pastels and I'm completely lost!!  So you can imagine how long this card took me to put together... lol!!

Today's card features this cutie from the new release, "Birthday Abby" and she is just ADORABLE... although that can be said about all the new release images!!

Hope your week is going well!  Oh and Happy New Year friends!

Wishing Ewe a Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone :)
It's Andrea here with my first WD post of 2015!!  Can you believe how fast 2014 went by?!  I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has fully recovered from their New Year celebrations.

My card today features New Year's Lush.  I have never made a New Year card before but I just couldn't resist this cute image and sentiment so I just had to colour it up!  I paired the image up with some red and green scraps left over from my Christmas makes.  A star embossing folder and some die-cut stars and it was done - quick and easy!

That's it from me today. Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy your day.

#Thank You

Hi Friends!
Susie here to bring you the premier post of 2015. This is my first post as a Doodlelicious Diva, so I thought an introduction would be nice.

My name is Susie Cannon Moore.  I am married to my soul mate Randall and between us we have five grown children - four boys and one girl.  We are also blessed to have eight wonderful grandchildren.  We live in a small country town – Maypearl, Tx where we own a scrapbooking bed and breakfast.

I have been paper crafting all my life…but started scrapbooking seriously in 1998.  It has been full throttle ever since.  My motto is, “A day without scrapbooking?  Not if I can help it.”  And I’ve tried to live by that all these years.

I've been published in a few magazines and have even been on HGTV.  What an experience!

I scrapbook digitally these days, but still love using paper and tools for card making.  Using digis is especially wonderful as I am a computer nerd too.  The Whimsie Doodles digis have been a favorite of mine for years!

So, that's a little about me.  Let me show you my first card as a Diva:

I used the new Latte Lizzie image and colored her with Copic markers.  I am obsessed with shaker cards right now, so she became the focal point of this shaker.  FUN FUN FUN!!

Be sure to check out the newest digis and stay tuned because we will have another new release on the 5th of this month.

Thanks for stopping by.  We are honored that you chose to spend some of the first day of the brand new year with us.

See you soon!

Susie

Quick Penguin Tags

Hey all -  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!  I know I'm not the only one that thinks it flew by WAAAAY too quickly this year!!!

So despite having been on bed rest & IV fluids for almost the first half of the year and having a baby at the end of September, I got it in my head that I needed to make this an almost completely handmade Christmas.  And all I have to say to that is WHOOPS.  haha!

I covered composition books for the kids' teachers (at the teachers' request!!) and stuck them in a flat white paper bag and then added these super cute penguin tags.  I printed this adorable image 'Penguins' (in the Christmas section) at about 2" wide and punched them out with my super huge tag punch... and then colored them in with my Copics.

And of course, I started making the composition books and tags two days before I needed to hand them out and took really quick pictures of them as I was sticking them in the bag!!!  Artificial lighting and an exhausted mama at 3am = dark pictures!!  I'm sorry about that but I was too pooped to do anything about it!!

I'm still really happy with how these tags came out though!!  These penguins are too cute!  But never again am I going to get the grand idea to handmake teacher gifts two days before they're due!!!  haha!!
